"Is anyone asking you the question? Who are you? If so, how will you respond?"

Many years ago, I apprehended my emotional status and decided to search within. During this transition, I discovered a lot about myself especially and including my weaknesses. Although I was always clear about my strengths, I knew little or next to nothing about my proclivities, i.e., my weaknesses. Hence, I made myself accountable to a Life Coach, to safe friends, and the Word of God. I was now on my journey to explore the internal world of ME. I must say, it wasn’t easy, and it took me a great deal of time. In the interim, I obtained the key knowledge that embracing one’s weaknesses will strengthen and empower you. This key new-found knowledge was very liberating and enlightening, I was able to reach out for help which resulted in connection and surprisingly in an overall vulnerability that allowed me to grow. I later surmised that being connected to myself and then being connected to others was the epitome of joy! Hence, there was a re-birthing of a confident woman with this new mission -- to love and to be loved. So then, with this liberated and enlightened mindset, let’s look at John the Baptist and Joseph - two confident men traveling on life’s journey.
Dr. Camp Devotional: John chapter 1
John the Baptist: In this chapter, we witness a man walk in confidence in his identity. When he was asked the question? Are you Elijah? Are you a prophet? Then the leaders finally asked, “what do you say about yourself?” John responded, I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, “Make straight the way for the Lord.” Question?
Is anyone asking you the question? Who are you? If so, how will you respond?
Like John, let us, with confidence and unapologetically declare, I am ________!!! When we declare I AM, like Jesus, were stating, I have faith in who I am!
Pitfalls
People may not believe in your abilities? However, don’t let them stop you! Declare and stand confident in who you are!
Listen, life can take you on a detour, causing you to question your very existence and calling. But just look around, you’re not alone. While John the Baptist was in jail, he began to question his call. However, Jesus told him to look at the fruit of his life.
Therefore, you must do the same! In other words, don’t allow the rain of life to obscure your view! Destiny awaits you. This is only but for a moment! Your calling didn’t change, your location did. But your life is still purposed to flourish!
Joseph in the Bible is also a witness to detours! He found himself, despised by his siblings, placed in a ditch, lied on, and locked up in jail, only to later rise as the 2nd in command to his leader. So be encouraged, stand in confidence and keep it moving.
